Data Management Specialist creates, implements, and maintains master data management solutions that enable users to optimize system capabilities. Uses knowledge of end-to-end data processes to analyze, cleanse, and enrich master data elements, and ensure that data flows efficiently and consistently between users and stakeholders. Being a Data Management Specialist provides data governance and ensures data integrity by coordinating data management efforts across the organization. Troubleshoots issues related to master data management and identifies opportunities for improving data management processes. Additionally, Data Management Specialist requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Data Management Specialist work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Contingent on award, Ampersand Solutions Group (AMPERSAND) has a requirement for one or more Data Management Specialist I who will support a critical DoD mission advising and assisting in the development and implementation of mission test data management plans.
Scope: Advises and assists in developing and implementing a data management plan that focuses on the collection, structure/format, entry, validation, editing, and reporting of data; collaborates with pertinent stakeholders to meet the specifications of the data management plan; creates technical documents detailing defined procedures and creates and implements training sessions; reviews data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency; demonstrates complex problem solving skills by identifying data related issues and suggests solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 0-5 years of relevant, related experience plus:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, or other relevant field or:
- Associates Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution plus 2 years relevant, related experience
- High School Diploma / GED from an accredited institution plus 4 years relevant, related experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance at the appropriate level
- Willing to periodically travel in support of test events
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, or other relevant field or:
Desired Qualifications- ACTIVE DoD SECRET or TOP SECRET Clearance
- Experience supporting the US Ballistic Missile Defense System
- DoD Instruction 8570.01M IA certification
- Experience handling classified data
- AWS, Azure, VMWare experience
