Data Management Director manages the planning, designing, and developing of an organization's databases. Develops policies and procedures to lead and manage a team of database engineers. Being a Data Management Director designs and modifies procedures to ensure the performance, scalability, and security of databases. Monitors and optimizes database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing. Additionally, Data Management Director evaluates existing database design to determine necessary updates and collaborates with stakeholders to determine future organizational needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Data Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Data Management Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     The Data Management Technician supports company growth and success by creating and maintaining product data that is utilized throughout the company. With over 1 million skus to maintain for our 1100 MFGs, we’re looking for someone who gets excited over working with Big Data.


    Preferred Experience for Data Management Technician:

    • Education/Certification(s): 1-2 Years Data Entry or Administrative Equivalent
    • Experience: Previous Data Management experience preferred

    Data Management Technician Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Collect and analyze data from MFGs and 3rd party sources
    • Set up new products, maintaining data integrity by following data policies and procedures
    • Maintain product data and attributes, such as fitment, descriptions, images & pricing
    • Identify and correct missing product elements
    • Perform regular content audits and reporting
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Requirements for Data Management Technician:

    • Experience using Microsoft Access & Excel
    • Understanding of and ability to navigate multiple file systems
    • Must be detail orientated with strong administrative and organizational skills
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal direction to prioritize and execute tasks
    • Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of accuracy
    • Demonstrate a professional work ethic and positive attitude
    • Vehicle knowledge a plus
