Data Entry Clerk jobs in Cary, NC

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately and efficiently maintaining company records, including entering updating, researching, verifying, and retrieving data in QuickBooks. The position requires attention to detail, accuracy, consistency, and the ability to maintain confidential information in a fast-paced environment. You will also be expected to copy information from paper into the QuickBooks system as well as match invoices to Purchase Orders and Item Receipts in QuickBooks.

Responsibilities/ Requirements:

Responsible for Payables

• Code, Verify, & Enter Bills
• Receive POs & Match Item Receipts in QuickBooks
• Obtain approval from Project Managers on bills
• Work with Vendors to resolve bill errors
• Vendor Statements- Ensuring all invoices are in QuickBooks and requesting any that are not already entered
• Maintain Bills to be Paid & Paid Bills Files
• Review Item Receipt Reports and Request for Invoices CRU has not Received
• Assist Accounting Manager on Processing Payments to Vendors

Responsible for Vendor’s

• Maintain Current Insurance & W-9 for Vendors
• Add New Vendors to QuickBooks
• Request New Vendor Information
• Complete Credit Applications
• Assist Accounting Manager on collecting information for 1099’s & Insurance Audits

Proficient in Excel & QuickBooks

Ability to Work Independently and Efficiently Manage Time

Manage Large Amounts of Information

Set Up and Maintain Paper and Electronic Filing Systems

Ensure Adherence to Quality Standards, Deadlines, and Proper Procedures

Perform Special Projects as Assigned

Link Appropriate Data for Cross- Referencing

Report any Problems or Questions in a Timely Manner

Answer Phones When Needed

Update Inventory Spreadsheets at Year End

Assist with Permanent Files

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
