Data Center Director directs and optimizes all operations of a data center facility to ensure data performance, availability, and security. Designs operating procedures and policies for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and storage systems within a data center to maximize operational efficiency. Being a Data Center Director monitors environmental conditions to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. Ensures timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients. Additionally, Data Center Director coordinates with outside teams to identify and implement new systems to support existing and future business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Data Center Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Data Center Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     POSITION(S) REPORTS TO: EDI Consulting Partner
    POSITION(S) THAT REPORT TO YOU: Administrative/Meeting Manager, Communications/Membership Manager
    EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT EMPLOYEE STATUS: Exempt (Minimum of 37.5 hours per week)

    GENERAL SUMMARY:
    Closely monitors association activities and provides important decision-making information to association leadership. Provides professional direction and support for all client activities, projects, meetings and campaigns.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Minimum of 37.5 hours per week):
    • Manage the grant/fundraising development for CSRO.
    • Oversee implementation of strategic goals as directed by Board president.
    • Oversee legal responsibilities of the organization (taxes, bylaws, contracts, etc.).
    • Oversee financial activities, including payment of invoices, budget preparation, monthly financial records, annual audit, etc.
    • Supervise day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the association.
    • Oversee development and publication printed materials and other communications (broadcast emails, faxes, mail, etc.) to members.
    • Oversee committee infrastructure and activities.
    • Oversee maintenance and updates of the client website.
    • Coordinate agendas and other materials for Board meetings and conference calls.
    • Attend and facilitate in-person Board meetings.
    • Attend and facilitate committee conference calls.
    • Take and distribute minutes of Board and committee meetings and conference calls.
    • Attend the Rheumatology Fellows education meeting and provide support and staff oversight for all related functions.
    • Represent CSRO at related meetings when appropriate.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    AMOUNT OF TRAVEL REQUIRED:
    Approximately 15 days per year.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
    Bachelor’s degree or professional experience in a related field and excellent written and verbal skills.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    (lifting, packaging, etc.) Minimal lifting required. Ability to move quickly within meeting facilities.
     
     
    *This position is located in downtown Milwaukee, WI and a minimum of two days onsite in the office (including Wednesday as an all-staff-in-office day) are a requirement of the role.
