Data Center Director directs and optimizes all operations of a data center facility to ensure data performance, availability, and security. Designs operating procedures and policies for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and storage systems within a data center to maximize operational efficiency. Being a Data Center Director monitors environmental conditions to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. Ensures timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients. Additionally, Data Center Director coordinates with outside teams to identify and implement new systems to support existing and future business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Data Center Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Data Center Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Seeking full-time Data Center Technicians for our Fort Stockton, Texas Location.


    • All Shifts Available
    • Monday-Friday w/ rotational weekends
    • On-call availability for emergency service preferred


    Cormint Data Systems is hiring qualified data center technicians in the Fort Stockton, Texas area to

    support a unique data center environment. The responsibilities of this role include installing, maintaining

    and repairing cryptocurrency miners and facility equipment alongside fellow technicians under the

    supervision of a team leader.


    Applicants should possess a love for technology and a wide range of facility maintenance skills, from

    cable management to electronics repair. General electrical knowledge, mechanical knowledge, and

    experience with computer assembly are preferred. Experience with Bitcoin or cryptocurrency is not

    required.


    Responsibilities:

    • Install and maintain common data center assets including servers and software
    • Provide troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for ASIC mining devices
    • Prepare ASIC mining devices for repairs; return repaired miners to operational status
    • Complete regular walkthroughs, track inventory, and log system checks
    • Maintain records and event logs
    • Ship and receive equipment
    • Rack and install equipment
    • Respond to service issues and requests promptly
    • Communicate daily with the site team

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience troubleshooting common computer hardware (CPU, motherboard, memory, networking, fans, etc.)
    • Experience with network cabling (ethernet, fiber, etc.)
    • Experience maintaining and monitoring network infrastructure


    General Physical Requirements for Data Center Operations

    • Ability to walk extensive distances and negotiate uneven terrain when necessary
    • Ability to work in noisy environments with variable temperatures
    • Ability to operate hand tools and equipment
    • Ability to reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures
    • Ability to manipulate small wires and switchers
    • Ability to apply muscular force to equipment and fixtures
    • Ability to push or pull heavy objects into position
    • Ability to manually lift up to 50 pounds
