Data Center Director directs and optimizes all operations of a data center facility to ensure data performance, availability, and security. Designs operating procedures and policies for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and storage systems within a data center to maximize operational efficiency. Being a Data Center Director monitors environmental conditions to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. Ensures timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients. Additionally, Data Center Director coordinates with outside teams to identify and implement new systems to support existing and future business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Data Center Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Data Center Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     The operations team is at the forefront of maintaining critical facilities infrastructure and delivering best-in-class service.  Data Center Facilities Technicians will be responsible for performing repairs, corrective maintenance, and complex installations.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    • Able to influence without authority
    • Assists in coordinating critical infrastructure
    • Carries out more complex infrastructure projects and off-site travel may be required to assist other locations
    • Completes complex work requests and circuit installations
    • Effectively collaborates with internal and external departments
    • May instruct on-site staff during simple incidents
    • Performs site inspections and monitors the building and alarms
    • Provides input to your peers for complex / critical maintenance activities
    • Respond to all on-site incidents and take action as required
    • Responsible for completion of site logs and data gathering for permits, such as MOPs and scripts
    • Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on site infrastructure (e.g. maintenance of primary infrastructures)
    • Undertakes repairs and corrective maintenance
    • Works through issues in a confident, positive way
    • Any other responsibilities and/or duties that may be assigned, as deemed necessary by management


    Required Skills & Abilities
    • Proficient with company implemented/deployed technologies (e.g. Windows 10/11, Microsoft Excel, MinerOS, HiveOS, BTC Tools, Foreman Crypto Miner Management, Timeclock systems)
    • Willingness to travel and/or dispatch to various mining locations
    • Willingness to work all shifts: days/nights/weekends/holidays as needed and/or required
    • On-call rotation schedule may be required


    Education & Experience
    • At least two years related experience preferred
    • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred


    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly
    • Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
    • Ability to respond quickly to sounds
    • Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
    • Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly
    • Ability to withstand prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting and/or manual dexterity
    • Ability to work in extreme weather
    • Reliable transportation for commuting to assigned daily site and other locations, as required
