Data Center Director directs and optimizes all operations of a data center facility to ensure data performance, availability, and security. Designs operating procedures and policies for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and storage systems within a data center to maximize operational efficiency. Being a Data Center Director monitors environmental conditions to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. Ensures timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients. Additionally, Data Center Director coordinates with outside teams to identify and implement new systems to support existing and future business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Data Center Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Data Center Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     DATA CENTER MANAGER 1547 Critical Systems Realty owns and operates network-neutral meet me rooms and data centers providing a mix of powered shell, retail and wholesale data center solutions driven by fiber-dense, network-rich interconnection environments.

    We are currently in need of an experienced and ambitious Data Center Manager at our Kapolei, HI location.     The purpose of the Data Center Manager (DCM) position is to assist with the day‐to‐day functions of the property management department and the functions of the General Manager to which he/she is assigned. The focus of this position is to support the General Manager in all aspects of management pertaining to the Hawaii property.

    The DCM is the liaison between the tenants/customers and the General Manager for Meet Me Room (MMR), Base building maintenance and, tenant-related issues at the property. This position will assist the General Manager with respect to onsite operations for Meet Me Room and base building/office operations. The DCM will assist in optimizing base building and operations services by helping to optimize MMR operations and procedures. Reports to General Manager.

    Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Building responsibilities:

    • Assist in supporting day to day tenant administrative requests
    • Drafting Memos and/or making phone calls to Tenants related to lease issues and preventative
    • maintenance scheduling
    • Assist with the coordination of the Security team
    • Support Tenant billing adjustment processing
    • Assist the Sales, Accounting and Marketing teams in providing information, in response to general building information requests.
    • Communicate with General Manager regarding accuracy of invoices received; that purchase orders are attached and invoices are coded correctly, according to company procedures.
    • Access computerized financial information to resolve vendor and payment disputes.
    • Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.
    • Support the and work with General Manager to close financial books for assigned property on a monthly basis
    • Assist with the coordination of the Security Guard Force
    • Perform building and MMR system/cleanliness walkthroughs, create punch lists
    • Tracking of PM contracts and maintenance schedule
    • Assist with Vendor maintenance supervision
    • Assist with Vendor construction supervision
    • Assist in developing and tracking budgets
    • Generation and tracking of vendor PO forms
    • Assist with the coordination of the building security and access control systems
    • Processing of PM Field Service Reports, inclusive of follow-up item execution
    • Scheduling and tracking of maintenance activities
    • Maintain revolving Office/Base building equipment inventory
    • Procurement of Meet Me Room equipment and materials
    • Assist with occasional after-hours vendor build supervision
    • Obtaining Bids – Snow removal, landscaping, rubbish & maintenance/repairs

    Safety Responsibilities:

    • Learn and ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules
    • Ensures that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.
    • Special Requirements:

    • On‐call emergency response
    • Organizes and files all applicable reports, leases, and paperwork
    • Proof reads all lease paperwork and processes move-ins and move-outs
    • Perform any additional duties assigned by property manager.
    • Serves as a backup for all General Manager duties

    Qualifications:

    • The ideal candidate will be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on
    • Excel, Word and Outlook.
    • The candidate must have experience associated with administrative duties and possess strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple job functions.
    • A strong background in customer service
    • Basic knowledge of building structures and experience in coordinating and scheduling are essential.
    • Applicants must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.

    Education requirements:

    • High school diploma/GED required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
    • 5 years experience in Colocation or property management
    • Excellent communication and time management skills
    • Well-developed customer service and sales skills

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
