DME Technician is responsible for a facility's durable medical equipment. Duties include selecting and ordering equipment and ensuring equipment delivery to facility and appropriate users. Being a DME Technician tests and maintains equipment to ensure proper functionality. Provides training on use of equipment. Additionally, DME Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The DME Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Key Responsibilities:
1. Contact patients by telephone to schedule deliveries and schedule routes accordingly to meet patient needs in a timely fashion when required.
2. Deliver, set up, and service basic DME equipment that the company provides.
3. Train patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals on use and safety precautions of equipment
4. Pick up all equipment in accordance with Integra Healthcare policies and procedures.
5. Pull and prepare equipment as needed.
6. Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle(s) and ensure any serviced requirements are communicated to Management. Maintain organization and proper inventory stock levels.
7. Complete delivery tickets, driver activity logs, and any other paperwork correctly and timely as instructed.
8. Attend training, staff, and equipment meetings when appropriate.
9. Maintain professional appearance, adhere to company dress code which includes, clean neat uniform, steel-toed shoes, and good personal grooming and hygiene. No jeans or jogging pants are allowed to be worn at any time.
10.Participate in on-call as directed by Management.
11. Must be willing to be called into work for emergency deliveries when required.
12. Assist with training new employees when required.
13.Perform other jobs related duties as assigned.
