Additionally, Cytotechnologist requires a bachelor's degree. Requires graduation from an approved school of cytotechnology and American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) or I.C.A. registration. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Cytotechnologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     Company:  DX LabsLocation: Midland, TexasJob Description:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated cytotechnologist who will work closely with our physicians and our current cytotechnologist, who has been with us for nearly 40 years, by screening specimens and evaluating specimen adequacy.  We work in a friendly collegial atmosphere.  As a cytotechnologist in our organization, you will play a crucial role in the accurate diagnosis of various diseases through screening specimens.  We receive body fluids, bronchoscopy specimens, and do many FNA.  We are adding EBUS at our Hospital, which will require on-site adequacy evaluations.  Please note that this position does not involve any Pap smears.

    Responsibilities:- Perform microscopic examination and analysis of cellular specimens, including non-GYN specimens.- Assess specimens for adequacy to ensure accurate diagnosis.- Identify and document abnormal cells or cellular changes.- Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.- Maintain accurate records and documentation of findings.- Adhere to quality control and quality assurance protocols.- Stay current with advancements in cytology techniques and technologies.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a related field.- Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification.- Strong attention to detail and excellent microscopy skills.- Proficiency in laboratory information systems.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, a supportive work environment, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
