If you are passionate about customs procedures and possess the skills to lead in a complex regulatory environment, we invite you to be an integral part of our success story.Job DescriptionDuties and ResponsibilitiesReview and prepare customs documentation for processing and entry release.Handle general inquiries (internally and externally) over the phone or through electronic communications.Complete files timely, accurately, and in compliance with BorderBuddy and Customs' policies and procedures.Write detailed notes and instructions re: clients, Freight Forwarders, CBSA, Carriers, etc.Maintain client database & update information as necessary.Deal with and resolve difficult situations and client conflicts on a desk-level prior to escalating to the manager.Be able to process B3 entries to meet Company and Canada customs compliance standards.Be able to correct Canada Customs rejected entries independently.Assign correct HS tariff classifications.Cross-sell BorderBuddy's services.Take the Customs Exams when required.Fulfill other duties as required.QualificationsStrong communication skills (verbal and written).Minimum of three (3) years experience within a customs brokerage setting, with specific experience in processing all modes of transport.CCS,  CTCS designation or other industry related certification. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, CBSA, Carriers, and Freight Forwarders, etc.Fluent in English (verbal and written).Knowledge and experience with CargoWise and/or CanData is an asset.Enjoys new challenges and working in a fast-paced busy environment.Ability to problem solve proactively.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Self-motivated and hardworking.Strong organizational abilities, flexible, and reliable.Excellent computer knowledge and skills.Positive attitude and willingness to grow.Detail oriented, eager to learn and do, resourceful and focused.Minimum Grade 12 graduation; post secondary or business courses in related industry a plus.Additional InformationLanguage Preference will be given to bilingual candidates (French and/or Mandarin in particular).Working ConditionsMust be legally able to work in Canada.This role is fully remote.Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary, benefits (health & dental), RRSP, and paid time off. While we sincerely appreciate all applications, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
