Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Customer Service Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. (Lynden Oilfield Services), Alaska’s largest intermodal tank and chassis operator, is in search of a qualified individual to supervise and lead our Well Services Support (Frac) Team in Prudhoe Bay, AK.   Lynden Oil Field Services, a division of Alaska West Express, Inc., provides support for exploration, production, and service companies on the North Slope working to develop Alaska’s oil and gas resources.   Our team works 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off. We offer low-cost benefits including medical, dental, vision and 401k, with up to 6% company contribution. Employees also receive paid sick leave.   Our Well Services Support Supervisor plays a strategic role in safety, environmental, and team building while managing the day-to-day field frac support operations on location. Maintaining a good relationship with clients is a key function of this position. Job execution and coordination of equipment, crews, chemicals and third-party vendors is expected.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)  Attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this position.   Ability to work long and/or irregular hours on the North Slope of Alaska in a two-week on, two-week off rotation.   Maintains accurate records as required by company, client, or regulatory purposes.  Examples include records and organization of supplied materials (water, sand, LVT, bulkers, liners, timbers, etc.)   Reports all health, safety, and environmental hazards, near misses, and/or incidents involving process, chemical, vehicle, and personnel.  Reports incidents in accordance with the AWE Incident Reporting Guidelines to the HSSE Department and direct supervisor.   Complies with all company health, safety and environmental policies.   Participates and Leads AWE HSSE proactive safety programs like the Observation program, Job Safety Analysis, and S.E.T.A. cards.   Responsible for ensuring that equipment is inspected for defects to ensure safe operating conditions before, during, and after use.  Reviews deficiencies and determines (working with AWE Maintenance) if the equipment needs to be taken out-of-service or can be safely operated until repaired.   Coordinates daily operations through customer communications. Determines work sequence by customer requirements, material shipping dates, type, volume and destination.   Inspects all personnel, equipment, rig-up, and final pre-job fluid tests and chemical volumes to ensure they meet company and customer requirements.   Promotes the services of Alaska West Express and maintains professional relationships with current customers and develops relationships with potential new customers.   Ensures all equipment is manned by properly trained operators and provides assistance in any necessary training functions.   Instructs and provides training and mentoring for direct reports.  Works with AWE HSSE to ensure that personnel are properly trained to meet Company, Customer, and regulatory requirements.   Maintains the ability to drive all Company equipment to specified destinations in accordance with company procedures and government regulations.  Maneuvers vehicles in safe and efficient manner in situations such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, and difficult loading/unloading facilities.   CUSTOMER INTERFACES:  This position must be able to interface with customers on a frequent basis in a professional manner.  Customer interfaces include:   Working with the Customers’ North Slope Supervisors while managing the jobs, personnel needs, and planning upcoming activities.   Establishing job schedules and supplying materials that are utilized on the pads.   Attendance at scheduled (i.e. pre and post frac meetings) and unscheduled meetings.   Communicate with customer’s PSL Manager on water utilization during hydraulic fracture operations.   Working with the Oil & Gas Companies on the scheduling of trucking services for fracking operations (water, tanker, proppant, fuel, etc.), scheduling required equipment and personnel (generators, heaters, loaders, cranes, bed trucks, etc.), coordinating the ordering, transportation, and supply of rig mats, and reporting of required information as determined by the Client.   SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Set the example in professional behavior and operator skills and lead the Team in ethical behavior in all aspects of the business.   Organize daily safety meetings, JSA’s, and safe work plans.   Mentor all equipment operators in their job responsibilities as needed.   Uphold and enforce employee compliance with company and client safety policies and procedures.   Track, document, and properly communicate (verbally and written) required information.  Types of information includes daily reports that include employee’s hours worked (tracked per well or charge code), training reports, process and safety statistics, incident investigation corrective actions, JSAs and procedures, and lessons learned.   Responsible for safe execution of travel, job setup, job execution, and return of all personnel and equipment.   May conduct disciplinary action meetings with field personnel as needed.   QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED);   3 to 5 years fracking experience with 1 yrs supervisory/leadership experience;   Experience working on the North Slope or in a similar environment;   Experience with creating a strong team environment, promoting communication, ability to multi-task and adapt to situations;   Basic computer skills in Word, Outlook, and Excel;   Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.   CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:  Valid driver’s license;   Commercial Driver License (CDL) with HazMat endorsement preferred.   LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with co-workers, supervisors and managers, to understand procedures and warning signs and or markings in the English language, to respond to inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.  Ability to understand, CFR 49 Hazardous Material regulations.  Hazardous communication training, respiratory protection training, PPE training, and environmental training must be completed.   MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide two digit numbers’   REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to understand detailed written and oral instructions; ability to prioritize and problem solve in time/safety-sensitive situations; ability to adapt to changing requirements and conditions.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear while communicating with customers and co-workers in person or via telephone or radio.    Employee must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods (entire shift).  Employee is required to use hands, fingers, arms and feet to steer and operate controls of equipment and while manually lifting, moving or securing freight. And is required to kneel, stoop or crouch to examine equipment and cargo.   The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.   REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE):  Employee is required to wear PPE as outlined in AWE Industrial Health and Safety Manual Chapter 2.27 PPE Program, which may include hard hat, safety toe shoes/boots, gloves, chemical splash suits, safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection, respiratory protection, and arctic winter gear.   TYPICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:  The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.   While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work in outside weather conditions, (extreme cold and wet conditions) and occasionally works in high, precarious places, and confined spaces. Employee is required to work with and around hazardous materials and near/with heavy tools and moving machinery.   The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate however hearing protection will be required.
