Customer Segment Manager jobs in Kentucky

Customer Segment Manager is responsible for all customer segment group research including extracting customer data and analyzing profiles to determine market segment requirements. Develops targeted product offerings or marketing campaigns based on customer profiles. Being a Customer Segment Manager provides information to sales and marketing teams to assist in the promotion of the organization's goods and/or services. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Customer Segment Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Customer Segment Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Customer Segment Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Objective:

    The Segment Manager - Food & Beverage plans, directs, controls, and coordinates the sales of the company's products within the Food and Beverage customer segment and the field sales force, working directly with F&B manufacturers to implement AAF's value added products and services. The role ensures products are sold in accordance with budgeted objectives to obtain maximum profitability and sales volume in relation to established marketing and sales standards while continually evaluating the timely adjustment of the company's marketing strategy and sales plans to meet changing marketing and sales conditions.


    Key Accountabilities:

    * Formulate and recommend policies and objectives for the organization's sales activities to ensure achievement of business sales and profitability objectives.

    * Coordinate activities of the marketing operation in accomplishing organization objectives and sales goals.

    * Direct sales planning which includes an analysis of competitive products and selling techniques, market share, quotas, pricing, and distribution.

    * Formulate and recommend policies and objectives to ensure the most effective operation of direct field sales activities. Ensure that approved policies and objectives are fully understood by all assigned personnel.

    * Recommend product modifications or improvements based on findings of marketing research, technical service work, or sales personnel feedback.

    * Recommend pricing policies including quantities, terms and conditions of sales.

    * Recommend delegation of pricing authority and individual pricing questions with policy implications.

    * Perform other duties as assigned.





    Requirements

    Position Requirements:

    1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in Business, Engineering or a related field;
    2. 10-15 years of relevant selling experience;
    3. Understanding and experience with high value added product selling, pricing, negotiating and channel management;
    4. Ability to communicate and sell both products and value concepts at all organizational levels;
    5. Be able to synthesize various input and ideas into relevant and clear strategies and secure buy-in from diverse teams in order to implement them;
    6. Must understand the importance and role of "brand" in building a profitable business, and have experience in product management. P&L management capability a requirement. A history of consistently delivering on expectations for growth and profitability must be demonstrated;
    7. Team player with proven success in building strong national and remote sales teams;
    8. This position can be located near any major airport.
