What you'll be doing:
- Develop deep expertise in Cabot’s products, categories, and competitors through syndicated data, store visits, online research etc.
- Responsible for the development and communication of in-market strategy and planning with the selling teams and key retailers.
- Collaborates with key internal stakeholders to analyze key business challenges and opportunities.
- Develop product positioning and key consumer messaging to inform cohesive marketing communication across consumer touchpoints.
- Oversee Insights team, effectively leveraging data to uncover insights and drive business strategies/tactics.
- Lead shopper marketing team, program, budget, and resources, including outside shopper marketing agency.
- Work to drive efficiency in shopper spend to deliver strong results in alignment with business and sales goals.
- Work as liaison between sales and marketing, to ensure collaboration on account strategy and presentations, and information sharing between departments.
- Oversee content strategy on ecommerce retailer platforms, ensuring that Cabot is exceeding retailer standards.
- Partner with Sales and others on selling stories and the development of strong selling tools.
- Manage shopper marketing and insights budgets, and vendor relationships.
- Other Projects and duties as assigned.
What we are seeking:
- 10-15 years’ experience in CPG marketing. Experience in dairy and/or refrigerated categories a plus.
- A highly analytical and a motivated self-starter
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills
- A consumer-centric orientation and a curiosity for uncovering consumer insights
- Experience managing shopper marketing program, and a deep understanding of the retail landscape
- Deep familiarity with syndicated scanner and panel data
- Understanding of retailer ecommerce and retailer content requirements
- An understanding of and love for the Cabot brand, and an appreciation for our co-op structure
- Excellent written & verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills.
- Must be deadline driven and self-sufficient.
- Exceptional project management skills.
- Comfortable reporting to team and management on performance and plans.
- Knowledge and understanding of CPG (consumer packaged goods) business strongly preferred.
- Enthusiasm for creating and optimizing internal processes, systems, and tools (versus working with well-established processes, systems, and tools).
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field required.
