Customer Information Center Supervisor supervises a team that is responsible for analyzing contact center patterns, including volumes, trends, attrition rates, and contact center representative productivities. Configures the Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) system to automatically distribute calls uniformly among representatives. Being a Customer Information Center Supervisor monitors the productivity of customer service representatives. Ensures customer satisfaction by overseeing the call volume and redirecting inbound traffic as needed. Additionally, Customer Information Center Supervisor reviews call volume reports to coordinate and complete capacity planning within the contact center and identify potential problems. Evaluates historical and recent performance and statistics to identify trends. May act as a resource for more complex questions. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Customer Information Center Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Customer Information Center Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Position Summary:

    Effectively performs a multitude of tasks throughout the Health Information Management Department including collecting, maintaining, and making available to authorized users timely, accurate, and complete patient health information. Has extensive internal contacts which require good oral communication skills to interact with physicians and hospital personnel. Handles confidential information regarding patient medical records.


    Job Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Works the Cerner batch folder daily.
    • Scans History and Physical reports into Cerner on current inpatients that have been brought in by the physician and placed on the chart. The “anticipated History and Physical” request in Cerner is then removed.
    • Scans all handwritten Progress Notes into Cerner on current inpatients daily.
    • Prepares charts for scanning (no later than the second day post discharge, third day if discharged on the weekend) in correct order to minimize sorting errors with a 98% accuracy. Sorts by encounter, then by section of record, then by reverse chronological order, quality checking every tenth record for errors. If errors are found, spot checks the next five records for trending. Tracks prepping/scanning errors discovered through analyzing process to help with performance improvement.
    • Knows all medical record forms for their aspect of job performance and barcodes in association with medical record forms (correct barcode placed on correct form).

    Qualifications:

    Requirements:

    • High-school graduate or GED required
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Computer skills (Microsoft Office applications and web-based programs) required.
    • One year experience in an office environment required.
    • Previous experience in Health Information Technology and electronic health records preferred
