Curriculum Specialist, Sr. designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Specialist, Sr. consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Specialist, Sr. writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Curriculum Specialist, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.     Providence is calling a Senior Communication Specialist who will:

    • Support organization-wide programs and initiatives
    • Play a key role in supporting organizational and division-based communication efforts
    • Work closely with hospital leadership and fellow caregivers on the communication team
    • Support communication programs and messaging for the hospital and across the continuum of the multi-state Providence organization

    Please note the following important details regarding this position:

    • This role is an hybrid role that will require to be present in the office three days per week as scheduled
    • Work Week: Monday - Friday
    • Work Schedule: 8am-5pm PST

    Required qualifications for this position include:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration or another related field of study
    • 5 years experience in communication, preferably in health care
    • 5 years experience in developing communication programs and business relationships
    • 5 years experience working in highly matrixed and geographically dispersed organizations and teams

    Preferred qualifications for this position include:

    • 5 years communication experience in health care
    • 5 years experience in a faith-based health system/organization
