The
Special Services department is looking for qualified candidates for a full-time
Special Services Program Specialist position for the 2022-2023 school year. This is a full-time position with full benefit package. Building administrators will contact you if you are selected for an interview.
Position Summary:
The Special Services Program Specialist will support K – 12 Special Services staff in the identification and implementation of high-leverage, evidence-based instructional strategies, to improve the academic and life skills of students qualifying for special education services. The Special Services Program Specialist will work directly with teachers providing coaching, collaboration and one-on-one support in developing programs and instructional systems for student supports. The Special Services Program Specialist will focus on enhancing the special education and general education teachers’ ability to provide rigorous, relevant instruction to meet the needs of students who qualify for special education services.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement or ESA Certificate
- 5 years successful special education experience
Salary:
Paid per teacher salary schedule, plus 21 extra days and a stipend contract.

FLSA Status: Exempt

Background Check on Recommended Candidate: A reference check inquiry will also be made by Human Resources on recommended candidates. According to 1992 legislation ESHB 2518, all school employees with regularly scheduled unsupervised access to children are required to have a criminal background check, which includes fingerprints.
