Curriculum Analyst/Specialist
Position
REPORTS TO: Location Administrator
RESPONSIBILITIES:
At the discretion/direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction, the
Curriculum Analyst/Specialist will:
1) Organizes assigned work and develops effective work methods.
2) Analyze curriculum for compliance with District policies and procedures, state
regulations, Education Code, and federal regulations.
3) Track completion of review processes and update information in the course
curriculum database and master course catalog database.
4) Assist with the organizing and structure of grants, approved by the department;
organize the budgetary components and develop requisitions in the purchase
ordering system.
5) Assist the Administrative Confidential Secretary when necessary, with inputting
personnel/payroll data.
6) Assist the Administrative Confidential Secretary with the preparation of monthly
Board agenda.
7) Assist with the coordination and monitoring of the curriculum development and
review process.
8) Assist with the entering of approved courses, course modifications, and course
codes into the curriculum catalog database.
9) Assist the Assistant Superintendent and Curriculum Supervisors with generating
specialized reports for local, state, federal, and accrediting purposes.
10) Coordinate, develop, and publish the production calendar for assigned Curriculum
Administrators.
11) Provides information by letter, in person, or over the telephone in response to
inquiries regarding curriculum department matters.
12) Disseminate information to district administrators pertaining to curriculum projects,
deadlines, upcoming events, etc., related to curriculum matters.
13) Assist with the interpretation of State regulations regarding assessments and
instruction for the purpose of implementation.
14) Organize work and maintain essential records and files.
15) Prepare statistical or other reports.
16) Prepares and submits periodic statistical and other reports in areas of responsibility.
17) Performs all other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum
& Instruction and/or designee.
18) Must be able to perform all of the essential functions of the job with reasonable

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
1) Ability to read and interpret department regulations, programs, standards
and procedures.
2) Ability to use correct English, to spell correctly and to use correct sentence

5) Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, Publisher and
PowerPoint.

7) Proficient in Systems 3000 payroll and order entry, and Ed-Data order
entry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) A bachelor's degree related to business or process skill functions of an analyst
specialist or any combination.
2) Five years satisfactory qualitative & quantitative experience in an analyst specialist
position.
3) Demonstrated proficiency in the use of a computer system and software productivity
tools for word processing, spreadsheets, charts, and presentations.
4) Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Google Drive and Microsoft Office suites.
5) Demonstrated ability to store, retrieve, and integrate information for electronic
dissemination.
6) Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
7) Ability to work independently.
8) Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
9) Research, compile, and analyze information/data, make recommendations and
prepare and present precise and complete reports.
10) Ability to analyze and interpret complex curriculum issues, advise, and make
recommendations.
11) Use tact, discretion, courtesy and patience in dealing with sensitive, difficult and
stressful situations.
12) Demonstrated ability to manage databases.

14) Required criminal history background check and eligibility to work in the United
