Curriculum Specialist, Sr. designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Specialist, Sr. consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Specialist, Sr. writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Curriculum Specialist, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.     What you’ll be working on: 

    The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist at Savers will be responsible for working with the automatic invoice processing system to improve functionality and processes, interpreting and reporting on company spend, collaborate cross functionally with other departments and with external vendors to resolve any invoice issues. Individual will identify and implement process improvements and assist in the month end close process with accruals and account reconciliations, in addition to reviewing statements, properly coding invoices and generating weekly payments.

     

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Invoice entry and purchase order match
    • Review and reconcile vendor statements
    • Format and import consolidated invoice line-item detail and upload into ERP system using Excel.
    • Communicate with internal and external customers
    • Identify process inefficiencies, document process improvements and work with the team to implement changes
    • Assist in month end closing and invoice accruals

    What you have:

    • Experience working in a high-volume Accounts Payable organization
    • Experience with two and three way invoice matching
    • Proven experience working effectively with technology and accounting systems
    • Demonstrated experience with improving and communicating accounting process improvements.
    • Ability to articulate invoice or process issues, replicate errors, and create IT tickets
    • Comfortable working in conditions of ambiguity and asking clarifying questions
    • Demonstrated and well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to interpret and address customer needs
    • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
    • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision
    • High level of accuracy in work product.
    • Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations a plus
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including high level Excel skills
    • Ability to learn new technologies and apply to current environment

    Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance, or equivalent work experience
    • 3 years of high volume, full cycle accounts payable experience

    FLSA:  Non-exempt

    Travel: Minimal to no travel
