Curriculum Specialist, Sr. designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Specialist, Sr. consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Specialist, Sr. writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Curriculum Specialist, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.     What You'll Do in This Position

    Support Lessons Learned program, project metric input and development, perform causal analysis, and serve as Issue Management and Assessment Coordinator.

    To function as the 'Process Owner' for one of the SRS Contractor Assurance processes / systems [Performance Analysis] to include assignment of management responsibilities and accountabilities and provides evidence to assure both the DOE and SRNS management that work is being performed safely, securely, and in compliance with all requirement; risks are identified and managed; and that the systems of control are effective and efficient.
    To function as the Management Review Team Coordinator.

    #1 - Regulatory Requirements - Verify contractual requirements are followed-down into the procedures which describe the process.
    #2 - Process Knowledge - Maintain an accurate Process Map which summarizes the process. Understand the process's links and interactions with other processes.
    #3 - Procedure(s) & Records - Maintain a procedure(s) which accurately reflect the process and the value-added attributes of the process's deliverables. Identify the process's record requirements.
    #4 - Training - Communicate process changes to the process users. Maintain a suite of training modules which support the various roles within the process.
    #5 -Guidance - Provide process guidance to users of the process above and beyond the procedure and training, but not inconsistent with the procedure or training.
    #6 - Metrics - Establish the appropriate set of metrics to measure the process effectiveness and efficiency. Maintain and control an effective and efficient process. Routinely evaluate and analyze the process performance metrics. Act upon any decline in performance.
    #7 - Quick Fixes - Communicate with the process users to identify issues that can be resolved quickly. Provide on-going assistance to process users.
    #8 - Assessment - Identify risks and opportunities with the current process. Participate in the routine self-assessment of the complete health of the process.
    #9 - Improvement - Engage in various improvement actions to enhance the level of compliance, effectiveness, and efficiency of the process.

    Security Clearance Information

    SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
