Curriculum Specialist designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Specialist consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Specialist writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Curriculum Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Job Summary:

    We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented individual to join our Cooking for Kids Curriculum Team as a Digital Curriculum Specialist. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the creation, proofing, and editing of curriculum components, utilizing various digital tools such as PowerPoint, Articulate, and Canvas. This role will involve collaboration with content experts to transform their expertise into engaging and effective training materials.

    Position may be eligible for remote or hybrid work schedule; however, any offer is contingent upon approval by University Human Resources in consideration of OSU policies, labor laws, and suitability to the work of the position/department. If remote work is approved, employee may not have an office on campus.

    Education & Experience

    Position Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    High School/GED and five years of progressive administrative support experience, experience working with the public, experience in an academic area and/or administrative office.

    Three years of administrative support to a director level or above.

    Proven experience in digital curriculum development, preferably in the field of child nutrition or a related area.

    Post-secondary education may be substituted for years of required experience.

    Proficiency in using digital tools such as PowerPoint, Articulate, and Canvas for curriculum development.

    Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality materials.

    Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

    Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
