Curriculum Manager manages the design and development of training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Oversees skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Curriculum Manager consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Curriculum Manager provides outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Participates in the selection of software or collaboration tools used for training. Establishes metrics used to evaluate training effectiveness and analyzes outcomes to determine ROI and recommend changes to programs. May select and manage vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Curriculum Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Curriculum Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead Curriculum Manager to join our team in Ft Meade, MD in support of a U.S. Government Training Academy delivering training, training development and management services to the Department of Defense users. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform as on-site lead for curriculum development and ensuring instructor preparedness Ensures courses are current, reflect operational/mission requirements and are of the highest quality Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, leadership, strong work ethic, teamwork, and competent writing and oral communication skills Ensure quality products and services are delivered timely and accurately Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of experience in the DoD, Federal, State, Local Government developing, evaluating and implementing cyber training courses/programs Proven experience implementing innovative methodologies that have improved instructional design processes Proven experience identifying training requirements based on the analysis of user needs and technology evolution Proven experience developing and implementing a continuous training maintenance program with, particular emphasis on cyber training, including evaluations using trainee feedback. Experience developing trainee assessments with respect to established criteria or standards aimed at proper task performance Experience developing/implementing a tracking system established that allows changes and updates to the training materials to be performed efficiently Clearance Requirements: Must be an U.S. citizen Must hold a TS/SCI clearance Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
