Route 66 Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Center is looking for a Criticalist to join our dynamic team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Albuquerque and the surrounding towns have a dire need for a dedicated and passionate Criticalist; you will not only be an asset to the team but to the entire community!
If you are looking for an amazing team of caregivers who are passionate about delivering the highest level of care for our patients, we want to talk to you! Route 66 Vet was created to provide an outstanding experience for our clients and employees alike. We aim to give back to our community by providing people with a caring and compassionate atmosphere to bring their pets in a time of need. Our practice is expanding and we are looking for a Criticalist so we can provide the highest level of care for our patients and clients.
Our state-of-the-art, AAHA accredited facility features digital radiology, endoscopy, advanced patient monitoring, telemetry, ultrasound, ligature, fully equipped laboratory, and entirely electronic medical records. Our new facility was completed in November 2021 and allows us to care for more patients while allowing our veterinarians to have the space to comfortably practice.
Our technical staff is composed of mainly registered veterinary technicians and assistants with years of emergency experience. Keeping a staffed hospital where our clients are cared for and our veterinarians are supported is extremely important to us. Our vets enjoy a three tech to one doctor ratio. We have a full-time Veterinary Social Worker on staff to help support our staff emotionally as well as our clients.
Our hospital is in the trendy Nob Hill neighborhood close to both the University of New Mexico and Sandia National Laboratory. Albuquerque is a growing city that has an abundance of sunshine. We are nestled at the base of the Rocky Mountains and enjoy all 4 seasons with none of the sticky triple-digit heated summer days. Our winters are mild yet sometimes we see a little snow. Mountain biking, hiking, and world-class skiing will be in your backyard! Our cost of living can’t be beaten, and our housing market allows for very comfortable living on any budget.
We have an outstanding benefits package and are offering a generous sign-on and relocation bonus. We believe no veterinarian should be bogged down by student loans, which is why we’re offering up to $200,000 in bonuses to help you pay off your student debt! Our pay range is between $200K-$300K, dependent on experience.
