The Nursing Division Manager is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of the activities of the total patient care services as outlined in the Mission, and Guiding Principles. Communication is vital between the Department Manager, staff, physicians, Supervisor and CNO. The Manager monitors activities of human resources management, patient care management, and material management for the delivery of patient care. The Manager functions as an educator, resource person, and guidance to the staff in his or her department. The Manager will assist with patient care as required. The Manager is responsible for the department/departments under his/her leadership 24 hours a day in regard to the Quality of Care, Staffing, and Fiscal Matters. Decisions will be based on Hospital Administration Policies, Personnel Policies and Policies of the individual department. The Manager will direct and guide patient centered care and insure optimal, care and service in accordance with physician orders.
