Credit and Collections Supervisor is responsible for the activities and operations in the credit and collections department. Oversees the processing and verification of applications for credit and the solicitation for payment on overdue accounts. Being a Credit and Collections Supervisor investigates credit issues and suggests payment options to be approved. Ensures collectors follow all protocols, laws and regulations to collect payments efficiently. Additionally, Credit and Collections Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Credit and Collections Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. General Summary: To minimize credit union losses due to loan default through a rigorous collection process while being sensitive to any hardships which may have caused a member to default on financial obligations owed to the credit union. Work with the loan officers to analyze delinquent history to possibly restructure, consolidate and/or prevent the possibilities of future membership debt. Perform all functions of the collection area as well as solving problems and helping work related issues by guiding and advising staff in the efficient handling of the collection area environment needs.

3. Help analyze needs and changes in the credit union to maintain and increase member expectations along with creating potential new products for members.
4. Complete in-house training based on required classes set up for this position.

Job Specifications:
Associate degree with 2 years collection experience. Equivalent experience considered (e.g. 3-4 years of collection experience)
High degree of accuracy/detail skills
Organization skills with the ability to supervise train and plan
Counseling and interviewing experience with mature judgment
Maintain continued interest in improving quality banking products and services
Interested in the wellbeing of people along with the ability to communicate positively and effectively
