Credit and Collections Supervisor is responsible for the activities and operations in the credit and collections department. Oversees the processing and verification of applications for credit and the solicitation for payment on overdue accounts. Being a Credit and Collections Supervisor investigates credit issues and suggests payment options to be approved. Ensures collectors follow all protocols, laws and regulations to collect payments efficiently. Additionally, Credit and Collections Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Credit and Collections Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. LCCU is looking for a highly motivated Collections Manager.
This person will be responsible for supervising a team and performing collection activities associated with delinquent member accounts including; credit and debit cards, lines of credit, secured loans, unsecured loans, real estate loans and home equity lines of credit. This person will also oversee accounts that are involved in bankruptcy or legal proceedings to include garnishments, levies, and foreclosures. This person will also ensure that the Credit Union’s professional image is maintained both inside the credit union and with outside parties involved in the collections process.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Three to Four Years of collection experience with a full-service financial institution required.
· Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
