Credit Clerk, Sr. jobs in New Jersey
Credit Clerk, Sr. evaluates and suggests creditworthiness of prospects and customers to decrease financial risk to the organization. Checks credit applications and grants approval within established guidelines for organizations or individuals. Being a Credit Clerk, Sr. communicates with the customers and other departments to solve the credit problems. May negotiate terms of payment to assist with collection of overdue balances. Additionally, Credit Clerk, Sr. requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Credit Clerk, Sr. works under moderate supervision. - Interview patients and family members for all uninsured programs.
- Prepares all preliminary applications to be submitted on behalf of the patients. Submits and records all applications.
- Enters all information In the system accurately and timely for billing and collection purposes.
- Provide help in completion of full applications for all uninsured programs.
- Follow up periodically with Social Service and Family Care Office to insure completed applications.
- Back up to collectors, answers calls, makes credit arrangements, sends out correspondence when necessary.
- Performs other clerical duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- High school graduate or GED required.
- Knowledge of computers is required.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Good communication skill on all levels of the organization and with the public.
- Must maintain confidentiality.
