Credit Clerk, Sr. evaluates and suggests creditworthiness of prospects and customers to decrease financial risk to the organization. Checks credit applications and grants approval within established guidelines for organizations or individuals. Being a Credit Clerk, Sr. communicates with the customers and other departments to solve the credit problems. May negotiate terms of payment to assist with collection of overdue balances. Additionally, Credit Clerk, Sr. requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Credit Clerk, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Essential Functions:
Responsible for processing payments received, preparing assigned vendor invoices for payment, researching discrepancies between accounts or invoices, and preparing journal entries. May assist with special projects, maintain fixed asset records, and perform general data entry or data verification.
At the discretion of Alabama Ag Credit, position may be offered at alternate titles and other business experience may be considered relevant.
