Credit Clerk evaluates and suggests creditworthiness of prospects and customers to decrease financial risk to the organization. Checks credit applications and grants approval within established guidelines for organizations or individuals. Being a Credit Clerk communicates with the customers and other departments to solve the credit problems. May negotiate terms of payment to assist with collection of overdue balances. Additionally, Credit Clerk requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Credit Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Shift can be 7:30-4:30, 8-5, or 8:30-5:30, but a 40 hour work week.QualificationsIn need of a Credit Analysts having wholesale/commercial collections is key, but willing to consider candidates with Consumer Collections experience. We are NOT in need of Accounts Payable Specialist, nor Accountants, but someone who has worked with Collections dealing with products. This is not someone who has worked in banking, insurance, or the medical industry but someone who can work with customers/clients dealing with collections on products.
