Hines Supply, a Division of US LBM, Is Seeking a Credit Clerk to join their team in Buffalo Grove, IL!

How you will spend your day as a Credit Clerk:
- Oversee daily cash receipts and perform cash application of checks, credit cards and ACH.
- Confirm daily balancing for all branches and address any discrepancies.
- Handle customer statements, service charges and customer maintenance monthly.
- Document and take appropriate action to collect on NSF checks.
- Assist in contacting accounts with overdue balances.
- Work with customer service and/or sales to resolve disputed items
- Assist with filing security and collections paperwork on a timely basis.
- Enforce all aspects of company credit policy while handling various duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Review requests for credit making sure credit applications are filled out completely and obtaining credit bureau reports.
- Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
- Cross-train as required in other areas.
- Complies with Companys attendance policy by maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned by location management.

Credit Clerk Requirements:
- Experience. 1 to 2 years of office administration including accounting related duties. Some experience in credit collections preferred.
- Education. High School Diploma or GED.
- Special Skills. Ability to handle interpersonal conflict, strong verbal and written skills, and ability to pursue collections as needed to meet goals of company. Working knowledge of collections
- Communication. Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills (Required).
- Teamwork. Ability to work as a team and help motivate others.
- Excellence. Must have an excellent attendance history with a work ethic to match.
