    Position Summary:

    Campus Card Services is a unit within the Auxiliary Services cluster housed under the Division of Student Affairs. The unit provides support of the campus OneCard program, branded as Zot Key. The OneCard program has many facets to it and is integrated with many platforms across the campus enterprise. The goal of the program is to provide a superior student experience through integration with a student’s campus credential. This position will support the technology that underpins the campus OneCard program and its integrations including software, hardware, end points or other specialized devices.

    Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, Student Affairs IT, the Campus Card Support Technician applies IT professional concepts in support of the campus OneCard program managed by the Campus Card Services department. Additionally supports campus, medical center and OP policies and procedures to resolve a variety of moderately complex issues in one or more IT areas of specialization. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors across the campus or health system enterprise. Understanding of multiple complex platform architecture and integration.

    $31.94 - $56.75 (Hourly Rate)

     

    Required:

    One (1) to three (3) years of experience working in a campus card environment consisting of card production, identification and credential management.

    Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

    General knowledge of several areas of IT. Knowledge relating to the design and development of software. Basic knowledge of secure software development. Demonstrated ability to install software and troubleshoot and repair moderately complex problems with computing devices, peripherals and software. Understanding of system performance monitoring and actions that can be taken to improve or correct performance. Basic knowledge of incident response procedures. Demonstrated ability to follow software specifications. Knowledge of business processes and procedures. Knowledge of the design, development and application of technology and systems to meet business needs. Knowledge of data management systems, practices and standards. Demonstrated knowledge of computer security tools, best practices and policies. Demonstrated skills applying security controls to computer software and hardware. Demonstrated testing and test planning skills. Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner. Demonstrated understanding of how system management actions affect users and dependent / related functions. Interpersonal skills sufficient to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner. Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Demonstrates problem-solving skills. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.

     

    Preferred:

    Demonstrated experience with database administration.

     

    Special Conditions Required:

    Must pass a background check. May need to travel to various locations to support the campus OneCard program. May need to travel to conferences, events or other vendor provided training. May need to adjust standard working hours as needed to support the campus OneCard program. May be required to work overtime. Position is primarily remote, but on-site attendance may be required as needed to support facets of the campus OneCard program, such as installation of software or hardware, device implementation or debugging, etc. Work locations could involve the academic campus, medical campus, University Health locations, merchant locations or any location with an inter-connection to the campus OneCard program.
