The primary purpose of this position is to assist Community Credit Union of Florida in living out our Mission, Always improve the financial well-being of our members and make a positive difference in our community, by delivering outstanding service to both internal and external members. In addition, the Operations Generalist is responsible for working the share draft exceptions, processing the mobile deposit files, and sending and receiving wires. This position serves as a back-up for other Operation positions and also makes recommendations to improve department goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Demonstrates enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values and long-term objectives by performing job duties within our bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, established internal and external service standards and our work procedures while possessing adequate product knowledge as measured by the annual product knowledge assessment.
- Delivers service to both internal and external members that is in alignment with the credit unions Service Promises and meets all established service goals as measured by the Internal Service Survey.
- Abides by CCUs Service Promises when helping a member or co-worker to ensure timely responsiveness to the individuals needs. Promotes teamwork, respects opinions, abilities and contributions of others and conveys a willingness to assist and cooperate with others for the benefit of the organization.
- Assists in attaining established departmental goals and adheres to all credit union standard operating policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Processes incoming and outgoing wires (national and international), performs OFAC checks pertaining to wire transfers and maintains wire transfer log.
- Processes mobile deposit files three (3) times a day; including correcting errors, identifying suspicious items, and working exceptions.
- Processes the share draft exception reports daily and in a timely manner.
- Processes the returned check file twice per day to ensure members are debited timely for returned deposits.
- Balances all required general ledger accounts assigned and reconciles any outages collaborating with the Accounting Department when necessary.
- Responsible for actions related to process improvements within specified area, such as suggesting, creating, implementing, testing, writing procedures, training and all other functions related to process improvement. Update procedure manual as needed for assigned areas.
- Provides back up for other team members in the Operations department and assists in cross-training others in the department.
- Follows policy and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) daily to ensure compliance with current regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or VP of Operations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

- Associate of Arts (AA) degree; or at least three (3) to five (5) years of work-related experience and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience in customer service in a financial institution. Work related experience should consist of exceptional customer service, background in card services, and strong attention to detail. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school, or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
- Intermediate skills in personal computer operation, word processing and spreadsheet software programs, and typing skills to meet the production needs of the position.
- Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, train personnel, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports, correspondence, and communicate clearly to members and employees.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, ability to work with limited supervision while performing duties, and be a strong team player.
- Ability to handle somewhat basic problems requiring analysis of data; weighing outcomes of decision.
- Current Florida drivers license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage, if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
