    Position is located in the Norwalk, CT, Itasca, IL and Flower mound, TX office. Must be able to come in the office 4 days a week. 


    Position Overview:

    Underwrite transactions, in a fast-paced environment, that support the verticals within the company.

     

    Commitment to Internal Control:

    The incumbent accepts the responsibility for establishing and maintaining the internal control system associated with the essential duties and responsibilities of the functional areas that the incumbent manages.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Review applications for accuracy. 
    • Underwrite transactions up to $1M and decision transactions within earned credit authority.
    • Underwrite and present transactions to management that exceed credit authority by accurately determining total exposure and recommending applicants accordingly.
    • Review and analyze public information such as Dun & Bradstreet reports, Paynet reports, Secretary of State corporate name verifications, Safer reports, Credit Bureau reports etc.
    • Call, fax or email for credit references.
    • Review existing customers for additional exposure to determine if applicant stays in flow for underwriting or needs to be reviewed by Fleet for further consideration.
    • Communicate via phone, email or in person with peers and other departments in a professional manner.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

                

    KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators):

    • Research industries, markets and equipment as requested.
    • Communicate via phone or email Dealers, Manufacturers and Clients. 
    • Review and present transactions that exceed credit authority.

     

    Responsibility and Decision-Making Authority:

    • Act independently; Decision-making within Company policy.

     

    Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:  

    • N/A

     

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to spread and analyze financial statements, preferred
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with Salesforce, preferred.

     

    Competencies:

    • Communicates changes effectively.
    • Responds promptly to customer needs. 
    • Meets challenges with resourcefulness.

     

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree required with a major in finance preferred

    • Two years of related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience 

     

    Licensing and Certification:

    • N/A

     

    Tools and Equipment Used:            

    • Personal computer, copier, phone, and other typical office equipment

     

    Working Hours:

    • Hours may vary and will require some evening work; frequently requires working 40-45 hours/week depending on business needs

     

    Travel:

    • Occasional travel related to attendance at industry seminars   

     

    Physical Demands:

    • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
    • Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.
    • Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person

    The salary will be between $60,200 - $72,700 with an opportunity to earn (a discretionary annual bonus).

     

    The salary range is determined and based on internal equity, market data/ranges, applicant's skills, prior relevant experience and education.
