    The Credit Manager is responsible for the administration of the credit department which includes but is not limited to: credit analysis and investigation of respective customers/patrons resulting in ultimate credit approval or denial, establishing credit limits, monitoring and analyzing accounts for accuracy in all transaction types, and making the necessary timely adjustments.  This position requires extensive interaction with customers, location personnel and various financial lending institutions. This position reports to the CFO.

    Job Duties Include:

    • Maintain basic knowledge of credit laws and privacy laws as well.
    • Continuously audits and monitors accounts to determine those that are noncollectable.
    • Responds to daily credit account calls/issues/related problems and coordinates any account issues with other administration/accounting staff on customer account issues.
    • Management of customer patronage/equity balances.
    • Answers all credit reference requests from vendors soliciting information on a current customer on a timely basis and provides all accurate and necessary information.
    • Researches and analyzes any/all credit accounts in which a potential adjustment exists.
    • Under the direction of the Controller, will cross train in various positions with the office to enhance their knowledge and the success of MVC.
    • Communicates with internal and external customers by telephone and by mail to investigate complaints, verify accuracy of charges, or to correct errors on account.

    Qualifications


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or other business discipline, OR equivalent combination of education and direct job experience
    • 3-5 years of experience in credit management and/or account collection.
    • Highly skilled with customer service and interaction across all communication types.
