Key Responsibilities:
1. Underwriting: 60% - Establish and Manage the underwriting process for commercial credit, making recommendations and providing guidance to ensure sound credit decisions. Overseeing the Company’s lending process which includes creating credit parameters, setting pricing, underwriting, and maintaining records of credit application and loan document with the support from operations. Responsible for recommending approval, declination, or alternate options for credit before presenting it to the final approvers.
2. Risk Management: 30% - Identify and mitigate risks, proactively guiding the development of credit structures and decisions to maintain portfolio quality and protect capital. Communicate effectively with various XCMG departments and third-party finance companies. Work closely with cross-functional teams within the organization. Assist in negotiating credit agreements and terms, including deal structures such as rates and fees.
3. Leadership: 10% - Assist our VP of Risk and Program Management and Sr. Credit Manager to lead and mentor future credit staff, providing ongoing coaching, training, and development opportunities. Drive strategy and implement new products, services, and technologies to enhance efficiency and improve customer experience.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Act as a liaison for other internal departments.
· Lead commercial projects and manage various contracts and vendor relationships.
· Effectively multitask with competing deadlines and responsibilities.
· Contribute to business development efforts.
· Perform additional duties as assigned per the needs of the company.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics.
· Minimum of 4-7 years’ experience in commercial credit underwriting, due diligence processes from origination to closing as well as well as well-versed in customer negotiations.
· Strong written, verbal, analytical skills and technological savvy (including advanced Excel and report writing capabilities)
· Experience with training, mentoring, and leading a team
· Thorough knowledge of credit-related laws and experience with leading regulatory examinations as well as audits.
· Must be skilled at resolving problems and reaching independent decisions, including personnel matters.
· Must have the ability to focus on tasks for extended periods.
· Must be flexible and have the ability to work with a variety of tasks and employees.
· Ability to plan, organize, be detailed and deadline oriented, and maintain a high accuracy rate.
