Creative Manager is responsible for managing all phases of creative development work from concept to completion. Oversees the creation of art, photo, copy, and layout for creative projects. Being a Creative Manager implements policies and standards that reinforce the organization's branding strategy and quality goals. Manages and develops a team of designers, copywriters, project managers and vendors. Additionally, Creative Manager leads the development of creative briefs and utilizes design methodologies that meet the business objectives and timelines of the organization and stakeholders. Evaluates and adopts the most effective tools and techniques across all media. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Creative Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Creative Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; special event hours, including nights and weekends, as required

    JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION

    Under the general direction of the Manager of Communications & Creative Services, the Creative Specialist will be responsible for supporting all areas of the 12th Man Foundation’s marketing and communications efforts with a focus on producing high-quality content for a variety of platforms to support the overall mission of the 12th Man Foundation.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Create visually appealing, engaging and on-brand content for a variety of platforms, including digital and print materials that promote the organization to target audiences.
    • Develop graphics, layouts and illustrations for marketing and communications collateral, social media, emails, websites, 12th Man Magazine and other channels.
    • Ensure consistent application of the brand’s identity across all creative materials.
    • Collaborate with MarCom staff to maintain and evolve the brand’s visual voice and personality.
    • Contribute to the development of creative strategies that effectively communicate messages and enhance brand recognition.
    • Provide input on visual elements that support MarCom campaigns and initiatives.
    • Collaborate with MarCom staff to enhance storytelling through visuals.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, design technologies and best practices.
    • Manage and update existing visual content to ensure it remains relevant and accurate.
    • Assist with developing content plans and distribution strategies aligned with the organization’s goals.
    • Assist with the planning and execution of marketing campaigns.
    • Assist with writing and editing for a variety of digital and print materials.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree and/or previous related experience
    • 1-3 years of experience in Marketing, Communications and/or Graphic Design
    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite design applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
    • Proficient in all applications of Microsoft Office
    • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on changing priorities, including weekend, holiday and evening hours

    PREFERENCES

    • Experience using Asana
    • Ability to work using a Mac or Windows environment
    • Knowledge of marketing principles and brand development
