Creative Manager is responsible for managing all phases of creative development work from concept to completion. Oversees the creation of art, photo, copy, and layout for creative projects. Being a Creative Manager implements policies and standards that reinforce the organization's branding strategy and quality goals. Manages and develops a team of designers, copywriters, project managers and vendors. Additionally, Creative Manager leads the development of creative briefs and utilizes design methodologies that meet the business objectives and timelines of the organization and stakeholders. Evaluates and adopts the most effective tools and techniques across all media. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Creative Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Creative Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Creative Services Assistant : Limestone University Department of Communications & Marketing.

    This full-time salaried position is located on the Limestone University campus in Gaffney, SC (this is not a remote position.)

    The on-campus position will, as assigned, provide support to communicate consistent brand messaging and marketing collateral for the Department of Communications and Marketing using creative services such as graphic design and videography.

    The position reports to the Vice President for Communications & Marketing / Communications Director and the Associate Vice President for Communications & Marketing / Creatives Services Director.

    This position assists with the creative services needs of the Limestone University Department of Communications & Marketing.

    Graphic design responsibilities include creating and supporting the graphics needs for Limestone University promotional and collateral materials.

    The position also supports all videography initiatives for the Department, including video shoots, editing, and production.

    Major Job Duties :

    • Providing support in communicating consistent brand messaging across media and ensuring University-wide message consistency.
    • Collaborating with Communications and Marketing departmental staff to produce high quality, creative content.
    • Working with the Vice President, Associate Vice President, and department colleagues on strategic communications and marketing planning.
    • Creating engaging marketing content for print and digital marketing materials.
    • Maintaining a consistent identity of Limestone University by following the departmental brand guidelines while meeting University’s marketing requirements.
    • Thinking creatively and developing new design concepts, graphics, and layouts for printed and digital content.
    • Assisting with scheduling content to be published on social media at ideal times.
    • Assisting with monitoring the social media channels and activities.
    • Ensuring that all visual materials are approved by Associate Vice President for Communications & Marketing / Creative Services Director.
    • Assisting with Limestone University website content development.
    • Create and produce videos for marketing, branding, and other aspects of internal and external communications.
    • Shooting video in a studio environment with lighting, backdrops, green screens, and sound as well as on location.
    • Responsible for shooting and editing a variety of short instructional and promotional videos to be launched on several digital platforms.
    • Exercising journalistic and artistic judgment in the production of graphic design and video production.
    • Post-production video editing, using motion graphics, and sound design to meet time, aesthetic, and quality standards.
    • Set-up and break down all required video, audio, and lighting equipment at each location.
    • Working cooperatively and collaboratively across departments within the University.
    • Researching and implementing new graphic design and video production technologies / practices.
    • Working with supervisor to tell Limestone University’s story with graphics and videos.
    • Strong interpersonal skills such as teamwork.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to effectively manage priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Being highly organized, self-directed, and proactive in all departmental duties.
    • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
    • Willingness to work, as needed, during evenings and weekends.

    Qualifications :

    • A Bachelor's degree and / or equivalent job-related experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities to be able to perform the functions of the position proficiently.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent conceptual skills across media, including print, web, social, marketing, and advertising.
    • Experience using Adobe Suite design products.
    • Experience in videography and in using video editing software.
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and work collaboratively with Communications and Marketing team members, including print, web, social media, photography, and videography.
    • Understanding and ability to communicate brand position and marketing opportunities in every communication.
    • Excellent time management skills.

    Preferred Experience :

    Minimum three years of work experience in the Creative Services field, particularly including graphic design and videography for marketing collateral, public relations material, social media, and advertising.

    Experience in higher education preferred.

    Compensation :

    Salary commensurate to experience.
