Creative Manager is responsible for managing all phases of creative development work from concept to completion. Oversees the creation of art, photo, copy, and layout for creative projects. Being a Creative Manager implements policies and standards that reinforce the organization's branding strategy and quality goals. Manages and develops a team of designers, copywriters, project managers and vendors. Additionally, Creative Manager leads the development of creative briefs and utilizes design methodologies that meet the business objectives and timelines of the organization and stakeholders. Evaluates and adopts the most effective tools and techniques across all media. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Creative Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Creative Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • PURPOSE   The Senior Manager, Creative Services will be responsible shaping the visual identity of our brand across a wide range of print and digital platforms. The role will lead graphic design initiatives for a dynamic and forward-thinking company with a strong emphasis on creativity and innovation.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   Spearhead graphic design projects of significant scale, taking ownership of both individual design execution and the integration of work from supporting designers and agency partners. Execute design projects requested by departmental partners, such as Communications, Events, Product Marketing, and Digital Marketing, as well as cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, HR, Digital Tools, Safety, and Investor Relations. Provide regular updates on creative project statuses, including progress, milestones, and potential roadblocks, to ensure projects are completed on-time and on-budget. Play a lead role in the design of all major company events, ensuring visually compelling and cohesive branding across various event materials and assets. Oversee and mentor graphic designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure the quality and consistency of design output while fostering their professional growth and development. Partner closely with video production team and external video agencies on graphics, ensuring that graphic elements enhance and complement the overall video content. Effectively articulate design recommendations and rationale when presenting work to internal stakeholders and clients. Collaborate with external vendors, including printers, agencies, photographers, and promotional material suppliers, leading to high-quality deliverables and project success. Actively participate in meetings, including status updates, team briefings, brainstorming sessions, and presentations, contributing creative insights and recommendations. Serve as a brand ambassador, ensuring brand consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all mediums. Upload and maintain department assets on cloud-based content management systems used by the BFS Marketing Team, ensuring accessibility and organization for all team members. Other duties as assigned.   SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES   Supervises assigned employees both on site and remotely located, including staff selection and training; planning, assigning and directing work; conducting performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or related field. Minimum eight (8) years of experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in both print and digital mediums.  Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign & etc.) Or equivalent combination of education and experience.   COMPETENCIES Thorough understanding of design principles, typography, and layout techniques.
