Creative Manager is responsible for managing all phases of creative development work from concept to completion. Oversees the creation of art, photo, copy, and layout for creative projects. Being a Creative Manager implements policies and standards that reinforce the organization's branding strategy and quality goals. Manages and develops a team of designers, copywriters, project managers and vendors. Additionally, Creative Manager leads the development of creative briefs and utilizes design methodologies that meet the business objectives and timelines of the organization and stakeholders. Evaluates and adopts the most effective tools and techniques across all media. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Creative Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Creative Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We’re looking for a Creative Operations Manager to join our collaborative, mission-minded creative team. We work hard—and we’ve got the awards to show for it—but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We’re looking for a creative operations manager to help optimize our teams and processes that help us develop creative that moves hearts, minds, and mission.

    The Creative Operations Manager will partner with the VP, Creative Services and our team of writers, art directors, digital designers and studio artists to ensure the creative process runs smoothly and efficiently. An individual steeped in project management and planning, the Creative Operations Manager will establish and optimize processes to help us standardize approaches, lead creative team operations, and identify tools and technology to meet the current and future needs of our team and our clients.

    The person in this role will also partner with our SVP, Account Operations to improve client and revenue outcomes. Our ideal candidate will draw on solid agency/industry experience and new technology to improve and strengthen the creative development process and facilitate partnerships within the agency to foster a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and productivity.

    Responsibilities:

    • Implement operations, staffing and team organizational best practices.
    • Navigate, mitigate and resolve conflict and risk management with proven ability to escalate concerns and make informed recommendations.
    • Act as agency owner of and subject matter expert on project management platform (Workfront).
    • Interface with Account Management to manage workflow between Creative and Account, including traffic of client projects and new business opportunities.
    • Identify opportunities for resource efficiencies within the Creative team, resulting in improved client and revenue outcomes.


    The ideal candidate will be:

    • An experienced traffic and project manager who can negotiate deadlines.
    • A natural planner, detail oriented and with exceptional organization and communication skills.
    • Capable of building connections, effectively networking and coordinating cross-functional teams.
    • Up-to-date on industry best practices, project management tools and technology.
    • Have the ability to optimize processes, train team members and champion adoption.
    • A project manager who can see the big picture while focusing on the details.


    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
    • 5-7 years’ experience in marketing, creative or operations roles.
    • Experienced in leading project management for creative/production departments in a large marketing organization with a heavy direct response presence.
    • Ability to earn and build trust with Creative and Account Management teams and freelancers.
    • Proficient with project management tools; preferably Workfront
    • Continuous improvement mindset with structured problem-solving skills.
    • Strong collaborator with highly effective relationship and partnership skills.
    • Knowledge of design software such as Adobe Creative is a plus.
