Creative Manager is responsible for managing all phases of creative development work from concept to completion. Oversees the creation of art, photo, copy, and layout for creative projects. Being a Creative Manager implements policies and standards that reinforce the organization's branding strategy and quality goals. Manages and develops a team of designers, copywriters, project managers and vendors. Additionally, Creative Manager leads the development of creative briefs and utilizes design methodologies that meet the business objectives and timelines of the organization and stakeholders. Evaluates and adopts the most effective tools and techniques across all media. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Creative Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Creative Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. This is a hands-on design role, crafting visual stories across a variety of channels – both traditional and emerging – that engage, inform and above all inspire.     This position is based out of our corporate headquarters in Burlington, MA.

    Responsibilities:

    • Concept and produce best-in-class creative that speaks to our luxury clientele
    • Design and execute creative solutions that deliver on campaign strategy and goals
    • Own and elevate Long’s visual identity and brand standards across all touchpoints, including but not limited to out-of-home, print, email, social media, direct mail, ecommerce and retail
    • Manage projects from end to end, working within creative budgets and project deadlines
    • Work closely with in-house photographers to concept and art direct stylized product and lifestyle photos
    • Help elevate and evolve Long’s holiday book
    • Partner with cross-functional leads across buying and retail to create designs that express ideas accurately, meet organizational and industry standards, and represent Long’s and our target audience appropriately
    • Manage product transfers for design needs; ensure all product is returned safely and in a timely fashion
    • Manage overall creative workflow in a fast-past environment
    • Asset maintenance: keep all project materials organized for easy access
