Creative Director provides leadership and direction for all phases of creative development work from concept to completion. Designs and implements policies and standards that reinforce the organization's branding strategy and goals. Being a Creative Director promotes excellence in design thinking and a creative strategy for services, products and programs. Interprets stakeholder requirements to produce effective creative concepts and designs. Additionally, Creative Director recruits and develops a team of designers, copywriters, project managers and vendors. Develops creative briefs and design concepts to meet the business objectives of the organization. Studies current trends and technologies to adopt the most effective tools and techniques across all media. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Creative Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Creative Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. They will work collaboratively with the marketing team, consultants, vendors, and Sunriver Resort individual business unit (IBU) leaders to execute the marketing plans for each business unit.

     

    The Creative Services Manager will always conduct him/herself in a manner that supports the core values of Sunriver Resort:Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment. 

    Responsibilities

    • Brand Marketing Creative:
      • Collaborate with marketing team & agency partners to maintain a cohesive creative approach in all brand marketing creative applications
      • Proactively problem-solve creative solutions through critical thinking, consumer-first perspective, and alignment to strategic marketing plan & brand standards
      • Demonstrate accountability to both business & brand needs of the organization
    • Brand Marketing Content Creation Management:
      • Ensure resort photography and video assets are current and meet brand standards.  Manage photo and video shoots.  Work with departments and marketing team on identifying photo and video needs. Work with outside vendors, as needed, to accomplish these duties;
      • Maintain content creation management standard operating procedure, brand content library, and digital asset management system
    • Brand Marketing Design Production:
      • Work with internal Sunriver Resort departments on project-based creative needs.
      • Ownership of assigned projects including strategic implementation, information & research gathering, defining deliverables, timeline & budget management, and final deliverables that align to strategic marketing plan & brand standards
      • Responsible for design/updates and printing of collateral materials, such as advertisements, community maps, brochures, flyers, etc;
      • Manage outside vendors to create and submit print advertisements in magazine and/or newspaper media as needed
      • Participate in all meetings with outside marketing and advertising agencies.  Manage deadlines and budgets for all approved marketing activities;
      • Produce a superb work product in a professional manner in keeping with the standards of the company
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree, or 3-5 years of equivalent experience in brand marketing design, graphic design, or related field and/or proven equivalent related experience and education;
    • Branding experience;
    • Experience in resort hospitality marketing strongly preferred;
    • Energetic self-starter with strong leadership skills and work ethic;
    • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite software (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook;
    • Proficiency with Digital Asset Management platforms (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canto or equivalent)
    • Must be able to drive own vehicle;
