Creative Director provides leadership and direction for all phases of creative development work from concept to completion. Designs and implements policies and standards that reinforce the organization's branding strategy and goals. Position: Director of Youth Programs
Reports to: The Executive Director of Operations and Quality Assurance
Salary: $35 - $45 per hour commensurate with experience and level of education
Purpose:
The Director of Youth Programs is responsible for planning and implementing youth programs. The Director of Youth Programs will work with a variety of groups including children, teens, young adults or families. The Director of Youth Programs will oversee intervention and prevention programs including but not limited to Expanded Learning Programs (Before School, After School, Summer Programs, CDF Freedom Schools, Elevate Youth).
The Director of Youth Programs will facilitate and monitor youth RFCEC programs within assigned communities implemented in collaboration with independent instructors, schools and community-based agencies.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred)
· 4 years management and youth programming experience
· Must pass a LiveScan background check with digital fingerprinting
· Complete a TB test and provide a copy of negative TB test results
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to provide at least three work references or two work references and 1 personal reference
Responsibilities
· Planning activities that appeal to the interests of the youth in the program, including field trips and special events such as dances or holiday celebrations
· Conducting interviews to determine which employees should be placed at a site, based on the program’s needs and criteria for acceptance
· Planning staff training sessions to ensure all employees are familiar with policies and procedures
· Coordinating with district and school site staff to make sure the program runs smoothly
· Scheduling field trips and other school events such as dances or assemblies
· Overseeing the general operations of the program, including recordkeeping, budgeting, and ordering supplies
· Coordinating with program managers and parents to resolve conflict or address problems that arise
· Supervise Program Managers
· Ensure that all area programs meet RFCEC program quality expectations
· Ensure all programs meet all RFCEC program compliance measures
· Act as team lead for programmatic issues and respond accordingly
· Work with program operations to identify and resolve operational problems
· Under the direction of the The Executive Director of Operations and Quality Assurance, manage special initiatives and projects.
· Maintain program database ensuring the completion of all program observations, impact statements, instructor reports, instructor surveys and teen surveys and collection of any, and all, relevant documentation
· Develop and maintain relationships with program partners and instructors
· Recruit, hire and train all program managers, team leaders and supplemental providers
· Review program provider applications through the RFCEC on-line application system
· Provide management and leadership to programs
· Secure the appropriate tools and supplies for each program
· Refine program budgets and submit to Program Director for approval
· Plan, schedule and organize all area level meetings and events
· Work closely with all program providers to assist with effective recruitment and retention

· Conduct regular program site visits including programmatic observations as set forth by the annual observation plan
· Address quality and logistical issues directly with independent instructors and community-based organizations
· Write monthly programmatic reports, provide program highlights, and make recommendations based on findings
· Assist in the hiring of program staff
· Act as area contact in the absence of Executive Director of Operations and Quality Assurance
