Crane Operator operates a crane to lift, move, load, unload, or position heavy materials or equipment. Performs daily safety and performance checks of crane equipment and may perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating or checking fluid levels. Being a Crane Operator communicates via hand or radio signals to receive or convey instructions. Identifies and addresses potential hazards and adheres to all safety protocols. Additionally, Crane Operator maintains documentation of activities including time logs and inspection reports to ensure compliance with regulations and operating procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma. May require NCCCO Certification. May require State License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Crane Operator works under moderate supervision. Under general supervision, operate electric overhead line crane to move product to and from racks and process through anodizing tanks. Check and maintain process tank concentrations for pH., temperature and other parameters to assure quality parts.

Skills and Abilities |
Ability to work effectively with tools and equipment such as small hand tools, line cranes, measuring tools and computers, and to safely and effectively handle chemicals. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and complete control charts. Possess basic computer skills to include data entry to move effectively from screen to screen entering and/or retrieving work order detail, part numbers, part counts, etc. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, advocating team concept and participative management style. Possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with diverse personalities and individuals at various levels within and outside the organization. |
