Crane Operator operates a crane to lift, move, load, unload, or position heavy materials or equipment. Performs daily safety and performance checks of crane equipment and may perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating or checking fluid levels. Being a Crane Operator communicates via hand or radio signals to receive or convey instructions. Identifies and addresses potential hazards and adheres to all safety protocols. Additionally, Crane Operator maintains documentation of activities including time logs and inspection reports to ensure compliance with regulations and operating procedures. Flexforce is currently hiring for an experience crane operator working in Voss, TX. Job opportunity is a project based that will be needed until the end of the year. The type of crane that will be operate will be a 30/35 Ton Tadano/Mantis cranes – small track crane with a hydraulic boom. We are working in a fairly congested area, building small water tanks
Must have a valid NCCCO card
Duties:
- Operate and maintain cranes in a safe and efficient manner
- Lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment using the crane
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating the crane
- Inspect and maintain the crane to ensure it is in proper working condition
- Communicate with team members to coordinate lifting operations
- Rig loads for safe lifting and transport
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on the crane as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating cranes or similar heavy equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of crane operations
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and load charts
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and forklift operation is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
