Court Reporter documents court proceedings by using a stenotype machine. May require completion of a 2-4 year training program at a vocational school. Being a Court Reporter has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Court Reporter works under immediate supervision. The Union County Administrative Office of PA Courts is seeking a Full-Time Court Reporter. This position is responsible for preparing verbatim records of all court proceedings, to transcribe Court order, and prepare transcripts. The work is performed under the direction of the Judge.

In addition to wages are orders and transcripts fees; reimbursement for NCRA and PCRA membership dues and yearly PCRA conference registration and hotel fees.
RPR is not required to begin employment but must complete the online skills test within three (3) months and the written knowledge test within 12 months.
Annual salary will be based on experience and certification(s).
