    Position purpose: To provide excellent customer service to our customers


    Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks: (material responsibilities and essentials duties)

    • Greet and acknowledge every guest
    • Demonstrate solid product knowledge
    • Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements
    • Demonstrate friendly and helpful service to all customers consistently
    • Make burritos, nachos, tacos and other food items as per customer's request
    • Suggest additional items to the customer
    • Follow all food handling, hygiene and safety processes and procedures
    • Ensure all fresh food cases are stocked and maintained
    • Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountabilities at POS registers, including scanning or inputting barcodes
    • Ring each item on the correct key
    • Minimize cash discrepancies so they do not exceed /- $5.00 per day
    • Meet or exceed customer service standards
    • Stock the floor as needed
    • Complete housekeeping tasks as needed
    • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention

    FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS 

    • HEALTH INSURANCE - Regular full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our Medical, Dental and Vision plans the first of the month following 60-days of employment in full-time status.  We also offer various supplemental insurance programs to meet your specific needs.  
    • PAID TIME OFF (PTO) – Full-time non-exempt employees begin accruing PTO at a rate of one week for the first year of employment, which can be used after 90 days of employment (.01925 hours per regular hour worked). The accrual rate increases to two weeks after two years of employment (.0385 hours per regular hour worked).

    PART-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

    • PAID SICK LEAVE (PSL) - Part-time and Seasonal employees begin accruing PSL at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked.  Employees cannot use PSL until after their 90 days of employment.  Part-time employees may use up to 24 hours PSL per year, and cannot accrue more than 48 hours at any given time.

    Qualifications: (minimum educational and experience qualifications, required proficiencies with specialized knowledge, required certifications, etc.)

    • Able to have basic math skills
    • Able to follow verbal and written instructions
    • Able to independently evaluate current conditions against standard and perform tasks necessary to bring areas to standard.

    Special Position Requirements: (Any hazard, risk, security issue or related special conditions which apply to the position, i.e. chemicals used, equipment used, cash handling, etc.)


    Must obtain California Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of employment


    Cash handling is required. Cash discrepancies must not exceed /- $5.00 per day


    Some exposure to cleaning products, (bathroom and toilet cleansers, window cleaners, wax, wax stripper, graffiti remover, paint remover etc), paint, and other chemicals is required


    Equipment used: tortilla warmer, hot pans, crock pots, knives, CO2

    • Standing/walking (operating cash register, working in deli, working on floor) – C
    • Lifting up to 10 lbs (merchandising, stocking, cleaning) – F
    • Repetitive pushing/pulling (scrubbing, wiping, mopping, sweeping, scraping, etc) – O
    • Climbing, working from ladder or stepstool (stocking, merchandising, cleaning) – O
    • Bending/stooping (merchandising, stocking, cleaning, emptying trash, retrieving litter, etc) – F
    • Kneeling (merchandising, stocking, cleaning floors, etc) - F
    • Lifting over 10 lbs (merchandising, stocking, emptying trash) – O
    • Reaching (merchandising, stocking, cleaning walls, windows, mirrors, etc) - F
    • Overhead work (cleaning walls, windows, changing light bulbs, etc.) - O
