Job Summary:
We are seeking a Rental Manager to oversee our rental operations. The Rental Manager will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating rentals, and providing excellent customer service to our clients. This is a key role in our organization and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Description
The Rental Counter Manager performs a variety of duties in the office to manage rental activities and assist the sales staff and facilitate professional, efficient customer service.
- Frequent lifting up to 15 lbs., occasional lifting to 25 lbs., and seldom lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to loud noise, dust, gas, or fumes
- Activities require handling and grasping objects with hands.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage Sirius software to help move Trinity to a sustainable paperless operation.
- Manage mobile devices for driving staff i.e. software issues, damage, passwords etc.
- Manage Dispatch Coordinator overseeing all incoming/outgoing deliveries with Trinity drivers, technicians, and service manager, to promote efficiency.
- Communicate with Service Manager, Rental Coordinators, Drivers and Yard Attendants for pre/post rental pictures, equipment availability and any service needs associated with rentals.
- Ensure that RC is reviewing Insurance status in Sirius when taking orders for equipment.
- Ensure customers are contacted prior to deliveries/pickups to confirm jobsite location, timing, special instructions, etc.
- New Customers:
- Ensure contact info is correctly entered in Sirius.
- Evaluate for compliance with Trinity insurance policy.
- Identify any high value customers and inform Sales Manager
- Communicate with finance to setup new charge accounts.
- Schedule and conduct safety meetings and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure high level customer service at counter
- Ensure reservations & rental contracts contain complete / accurate information.
- Review all Slack communication relating to rental counter for clarity, accuracy, timeliness and acknowledgement
- Ensure signatures are on delivery tickets.
- Ensure all rental contracts are updated to off upon return of equipment.
- Review weekly utilization reports with Sales & Fleet Managers
- Support service manager for parking, charging (including periodic charging) and refueling returning rental units.
- Oversee monthly equipment inventory in yard.
- Oversee monthly inventory on sales items.
- Perform daily verification on new rents / off rents.
- Cut Purchase Orders for sale items.
- Manage and oversee call center / rental counter personnel.
- Responsible for
- Hiring and Firing departmental staff.
- Employee documentation, 90-Day and Annual Evaluations.
- Assist in projects with co-workers.
- Assist in paperwork associated with rentals and sales.
- Take requests for rental service, create work order and pass along to service manager.
- Process Cash, Check & Credit Card sales.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
