Responsibilities:
As a Front Counter Clerk, you'll be the face of our company, responsible for providing outstanding service to our customers. Your duties will include:

• Greeting customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
• Assisting customers in selecting the right equipment for their needs
• Processing rental agreements and payments accurately and efficiently
• Providing basic equipment operation instructions to customers
• Answering phone calls and responding to inquiries in a professional manner
• Maintaining a clean and organized front counter area and store floor area.

Requirements:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Previous experience in customer service or retail preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of equipment rental industry is a plus

Desired Skills:

• Small Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with various types of small equipment such as power tools (drills, saws, sanders), generators, air compressors, etc.
• Landscaping Experience: Understanding of landscaping equipment like lawn mowers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, and tillers, which are commonly purchased for yard maintenance and landscaping projects.
• Construction Background: Basic knowledge of construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, skid-steer loaders, and concrete mixers.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to assist customers in finding suitable equipment alternatives if their first choice is unavailable, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer Service Experience in Related Industries: Prior experience in industries such as retail, hospitality, or automotive where customer service skills are transferable and valued.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
