Cost Estimation Engineer jobs in Providence, RI

Cost Estimation Engineer estimates costs for construction, engineering, manufacturing, or other implementation projects based on an analysis of project technical requirements. Collects data and analyzes all project costs, including raw materials, labor, equipment and tooling to ensure estimates are accurate. Being a Cost Estimation Engineer identifies and quantifies potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs. Updates costs as necessary based on new information and project scope changes. Additionally, Cost Estimation Engineer coordinates with project management, engineering, procurement and other project stakeholders. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Cost Estimation Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     • Review and document costs for all external inventory, labor, and material purchases
    • Oversees and complete internal cost audits
    • Review and document inventory and material purchases
    • Accurately record and update existing and new purchased materials and goods
    • Compile documentation on standard costs and company production costs
    • Ensure compliance to applicable accounting guidelines, polices, and internal control procedures
    • Coordinate and execute physical inventories according to annual plans

    Experience / Qualifications

    • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)


    W2 pay $45 to $55 hr
