    The position:

    This position is contingent upon contract award.

     

    AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Cost Analyst to support Airworthiness Cybersafe Office.The salary range of this position is $75,000.00 - $105,000.00, and is commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for remote work as needed.

    A typical day as a Cost Analyst may include:

    • Examines budget estimates for completeness, accuracy and conformance with procedures and regulations
    • Analyzes budgeting and accounting reports
    • Assists in planning, organizing and executing annual/multi-year/multi-appropriation programming in a highly technical/complex organization
    • Assists in developing operational evaluations and related recurring/special one-time analytical/managerial financial reports
    • Presents reports to top-level management for their use in decision-making
    • Provides technical and resource analysis/reports in support of Program/Budget development
    • Suggests and implements methods to evaluate budget decisions; incorporating historical data, current year data and resource projections into decision support materials and presentations

     

    Must-haves:

    • Business Administration/Finance/Accounting BS/BAS/BA Degree from an accredited college/university or an additional 2 years of relevant experience and a Business Administration/Finance/Accounting AS/AAS/AA Degree may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree-These 2 years of experience are in addition to the required minimum of 3 years to meet the experience requirement, requiring a total of 5 years of experience
    • 3 years of relevant work experience
    • Prior experience with financial analysis, budgeting, cost projection and complex organization skills
    • Familiar with DCMA processes/requirements, large budget management and estimated cost of completion calculations
    • The ability to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

     

    Desired Skills:

    • Expert level experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • 3 years of experience in managing large contract budgets/finances

    Physical environment and working conditions:

    The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.  Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

     

    The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site.
