Primary Function: Responsible for managing and organizing capital expense projects, preparation of prospectuses,
maintaining fixed asset ledger, cost accounting for plant preparation of special studies and plant support training and maintaining gross margin costs.

Materials Used: General office supplies.

Job Responsibilities:
- *Perform cost accounting and analysis for manufacturing plants, including cost control reports, trend analysis, inventory reports, yield reports, price audits and variance analysis. Ensure accuracy of standard cost elements in cost system used for all product costing, inventory valuation, gross margins and operational results.
- *Participate in fiscal period ending closings by compiling various cost accounting data on inventories, production, variances, and G/L account reconciliations and journal entries.
- *Provide management with product/process cost estimates on new developments and sample production and/or "what-if' cost models.
- *Plan, prepare, and implement periodic cost budget revisions.
- *Support plant and corporate staff by resolving questions/issues related to product and gross margin costs.
- *Work on process improvement projects to provide better and faster response times for cost data.
- Collect data from facilities worldwide and assemble PowerPoint Presentations for company management.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements:
Activity Frequency, Amount, or Description
(x) Standing: 1/4 to 1/2 hour on carpeted floor to make copies and or send faxes to plants.
(x) Sitting: 6-8 hours performing project and cost accounting functions
(x) Moving (Self): Walk to computer printer room 55' or to copy fax room 75' to pick up printouts or make copies.
(x) Climbing: None
(x) Moving Materials: Retrieve computer printouts 1/2 to 10 lbs. to office on an as needed basis.
(x) Hearing/Speaking: Must communication with others by phone and in person
(x) Reaching: Reaches up to 72' to select or return notebooks 1/2 to 7 lbs. to bookcase.
(x) Visual Acuity: Must read printed material, faxes and handwritten requests.
(x) Bending/Stooping: Retrieve or return notebooks to bookcase, bending to floor level 5 10 times day
(x) Other: Drive to plants 1-2 times per month or as needed.
(x) Fingering: Run P.C programs and operate calculator 4-5 hours per day on average.

Mandatory Qualifications- AAS Degree in Accounting/Finance with a minimum of 2-4 years cost accounting experience with manufacturing facilities,
- Excellent PC skill level with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook).
- Experience with an MRP system preferred.
Four Year College Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business
Assessments: Medical as necessary
